Trip of A Life Time Peru – Part 7

The plan was for us to visit the springs in Augas Calientes before returning to the resort in Urubamba.  However, our hikers were tired, and in need of showers, so we decided to return earlier.  We bought tickets for the next train which would be in two hours.  We spent the next two hours inside a tourist market near the train station to avoid the torrential rain.  We shopped for a while…there was an awesome selection of native handi-crafts from textiles to jewelry (and not the cheesy made in China crap!!)

After we were all shopped out, we sat near a stall and made friends with the proprietor’s children. Very fun!! We all had a bit of Spanish, so we had fun laughing and teasing with them.

Time for us to take the train back to the resort. The 2 hikers were looking forward to some luxury!
